Goblet shaped hand drum played all over the Middle East. Made from clay, metal, or wood with a plastic, fish, or goat skin head. Various names exist in different countries for similar drums as this. In Persia, it is made from wood and known as zarb. In Egypt, clay drums like this are sometimes called tabla. In Turkey, metal drums like this are known as darabuca. Dumbeg may also be used.
